Safety & Compliance — Our Certifications and Regulatory Standing

Safety & Compliance

In the world of high-value maritime assets, safety and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable. At Bali Yacht Broker, we have built our reputation on a foundation of meticulous due diligence and an unwavering commitment to adhering to both Indonesian law and international best practices. Our clients trust us because we prioritize their security and peace of mind above all else. This page details our corporate compliance, the regulatory standards we demand of the vessels we represent, and the safety protocols that underpin our operations. Our rigorous approach is what makes us a trusted partner for B2B transactions in the region.

Corporate & Regulatory Standing

Bali Yacht Broker, a subsidiary of Juara Holding Group, operates with full legal standing in the Republic of Indonesia. Our compliance ensures that every transaction we facilitate is secure, transparent, and legally sound.

  • Legal Entity: We are a legally registered Indonesian Perseroan Terbatas (PT) company.
  • Tourism Business License (SIUP-PARIWISATA): We hold the necessary business license from the Kementerian Pariwisata (Ministry of Tourism) required to operate as a tourism-related enterprise, including brokerage services.
  • Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP): We are a registered taxpayer and comply with all Indonesian tax regulations, ensuring financial transparency.
  • IATA Accreditation: While primarily a yacht brokerage, our affiliation with Juara Holding Group gives us access to IATA-accredited travel services, allowing us to seamlessly manage complex travel logistics for our international clients, including private jet charters and commercial airline ticketing with carriers like Garuda Indonesia.

Vessel Compliance & Vetting Standards

We will not list a vessel that does not meet our stringent safety and compliance criteria. Every yacht on our brokerage page has been vetted against these standards.

  • Valid Port Clearance (Surat Persetujuan Berlayar – SPB): We ensure that any vessel we arrange for a sea trial has a valid SPB issued by the local Harbormaster (KSOP), confirming it is seaworthy and cleared for departure.
  • Crew Certification & Insurance: We verify that the captain and key crew hold the appropriate Indonesian maritime licenses (e.g., Ahli Nautika Tingkat / ANT) and that all crew members are covered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, the mandatory national social security and insurance program.
  • Safety Equipment & Drills: We require sellers to provide evidence of recently serviced safety equipment (life rafts, fire extinguishers, EPIRBs) and records of regular safety drills conducted onboard. We adhere to the standards set by the Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut.
  • International Standards (ISO/SOLAS): While not always mandatory for private yachts, we give preference to and highlight vessels that are built or managed in accordance with international standards like ISO 9001 (Quality Management) or SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) conventions.

Operational Safety Protocols

Our duty of care extends beyond paperwork. We implement practical safety measures in all our operations.

  • Emergency Response Plan (ERP): We maintain a detailed ERP that includes 24/7 contact information for our team, as well as direct lines to BASARNAS (Indonesia’s National Search and Rescue Agency) and other emergency services. Clients are briefed on these procedures.
  • Sea Trial Safety: All sea trials are conducted with a qualified captain, are subject to weather conditions, and include a mandatory pre-departure safety briefing for all persons on board.
  • Confidentiality and Data Security: We use secure, encrypted channels for sharing sensitive client and vessel documentation, protecting our clients’ privacy and financial information.
  • Trusted Partner Network: The legal, financial, and technical partners we recommend are all thoroughly vetted for their own professional credentials and compliance. You can learn more about them on our Partners & Affiliations page.

Our comprehensive approach to safety and compliance is designed to mitigate risk and provide a secure framework for your investment. It is a critical part of the value we deliver to every client. For more information, please contact bd@juaraholding.com.

Vessel certification and classification standards

The scent of salt and sun on the deck of a meticulously maintained yacht, cruising through Indonesia’s pristine archipelagic waters, embodies the ultimate luxury escape – a journey made possible by an unyielding commitment to safety. Our purview extends beyond legalities to the structural integrity and operational readiness of every vessel we represent. This begins with rigorous adherence to international classification society standards. We exclusively list yachts that have undergone stringent surveys and hold valid certifications from recognized bodies such as Lloyd’s Register, DNV-GL, or Bureau Veritas. These are comprehensive assessments of a vessel’s design, construction, machinery, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring the highest global benchmarks for seaworthiness and safety.
