Crew
Recruitment, contracts, payroll, certification checks, rotation planning and supervision — so the boat is never dependent on one irreplaceable captain.
Own & invest · Management
The owner is overseas, the crew works unsupervised, servicing slips from a schedule to “when something breaks”, and the vessel depreciates at Serangan while still paying moorage, insurance and salaries. Management reverses that arithmetic.
Our job is structure and accountability, not wrenches. Day-to-day operations are carried out by the group’s marine operators; the desk represents you to them.
The programme
Recruitment, contracts, payroll, certification checks, rotation planning and supervision — so the boat is never dependent on one irreplaceable captain.
A servicing calendar the vessel actually runs to, with a current engine log rather than a repair history.
Registration, licensing and crew documents kept current, checked before they lapse rather than after.
A monthly statement, so an absent owner knows the state of the asset without having to fly in and look.
Orientation
Exact fees are quoted after inspection — a ten-year-old speedboat and a 40-metre phinisi are different businesses. Fuel, parts, marina fees and insurance are always billed at cost, separate from the retainer.
Day boats & speedboats
USD 300–800/ month
Under 40 ft. Crew supervision, maintenance scheduling, paperwork.
Motor yachts
USD 800–2,500/ month
40–80 ft, scope-dependent — larger crews and more systems.
Phinisi & liveaboards
USD 1.5–4K+/ month
Full crew and expedition programme management.
Charter placement
15–25%of revenue
Only applies when the boat actually earns.
Crew payroll runs USD 250–1,200 per crew member per month, deckhand to licensed captain, billed at cost. Budget 5–10% of vessel value a year for maintenance — the working rule of thumb for boats in tropical waters.
Charter placement
The reason owners choose a group-connected desk over a standalone caretaker is demand. Vessels under management that meet standard can be placed into a charter pipeline that already runs year-round across Bali and the Komodo route.
Whether charter income covers your running costs, nobody can promise honestly. What is structural: a boat in an existing pipeline starts with real enquiry flow from day one, and a boat that is not chartered at all covers nothing.
Owner questions
Own a boat in Bali or Labuan Bajo, or about to buy one and want it managed from day one? Send the vessel details and we will come back with an inspection plan and a written scope.
