Build the shortlist before you book the flight. No trip length is long enough to also decide what to look at.
- Attend the survey yourself. An hour aboard with the surveyor teaches more than any report sent afterwards.
- Negotiate on the same trip. Findings lose their force once everyone has gone home.
- The desk arranges access, owners’ representatives, surveyor and trial slots before you land.

Five days
2–3 vessels
Adds a revisit day after the survey, and a full negotiation day. The comfortable format.
Seven days
Two markets
Bali plus a Labuan Bajo leg to inspect operating phinisi at the Komodo gateway.
High season tightens everything: haul-out slots and crew availability are scarce when every vessel is working, so the eastern leg wants booking earlier than the Bali one.
